Rising up from the valley between the Chalice Well and the Tor is the Meadow area, on the south-eastern slopes of Chalice Hill.

In this area you can sit quietly under the ancient apple tree or rock on the swing seat, and enjoy the views across the Vale of Avalon. This is also an ideal spot for a picnic or a gathering of family and friends.

A winter view of Wearyall Hill
from the meadow

Here you will find a sense of spaciousness with great views to some of the other major Glastonbury landmarks, Wearyall Hill, the site of the first Holy Thorn, and the Tor which rises high above the gardens on the other side of the valley.

Our virtual photographic tour of the gardens ends here and we leave you with a beautiful
impression of the
Well Head late on a summers evening.
