Chalice Well Wheel of the Year: Flowering May 2011
Chalice Well May Day Celebrations 2011
On Sunday 1st May over 200 hundred people gathered to help us celebrate our Wheel of the Year Flowering Festival. Despite the forecast of rain the day stayed dry and as the fire was lighted in the Cress Field the sun came out.
We would like to thank Glennie Kindred and Sophie Knock for leading the ceremony. Janna Runnalls and her team of drummers for keeping us in time. Merlin and Brian Conquer, who joined the ceremony and led the maypole to the lower lawn. Peter Woods who led the maypole dancing accompanied by the Cam Valley Morris Musicians, which leaves, last but not least, a big thank you to the Cam Valley Morris Men.
