All Hallows Eve Celebration '08

The night was set perfectly for an evening of quests, fireside stories, fancy dress, songs and giants...!!!

The evening began with an adventure to meet the Otherworldly folk of Chalice Well...

Meeting with the Fairy Godmother.

Meeting with the Wise Women of the lake.

Meeting with the Glastonbury Gnome.

Meeting with Wise Merlin.

And of course, the Giants Albion and Bellever.

Gill comperes the children’s fancy dress parade, introducing the many varied and colourful contestents as they took to the stage.

Trustee Sophie announces the winners of the under 7’s.

And then the winners of the 7-11’s.

Fireside stories from Wendy and Michael Dacre of Raven’s Tales captivated the hearts of everyone.

Chanting by the Yew Trees.

The evening ended with a ceremonyin to Honour our Ancestors and Otherworld Relations.

After calling in the lands and peoples of the North, South, East and West participants, carrying a stone from their home or homeland, walked between two fires of purification, along an avenue of torches, to the cairn.

People then placed their stone to build the cairn.

And in return took a stone from Chalice Well to continue their onward journey.
