Chalice Well owns two houses, both with 24 hour access to the gardens; Little St Michael’s (LSM) and Chalice Well Lodge (CWL). The houses are only available for hire by Companions. As a Companion, it is possible to rent either or both of the houses for a group retreat.

These houses are provided by the Trust for Companions to stay on retreats of a meditative or contemplative nature. We aim to offer a chance for quiet time, reflection, rest from day-to-day working life, and an opportunity to further spiritual journeys.

The whole of Chalice Well Trust is a non-smoking, mobile phone and pet free environment. Smoking is however, permitted in the front entrance car park.

To preserve the ethos of the houses as places of retreat, we ask that you do not use electronic equipment such as laptops, radios, ipods, MP3’s or DVD players.

N.B** We are unable to accommodate young people under the age of 18 years old. However should you wish to bring your children for a family experience, The Chalice Well Lodge may be booked for your exclusive use for a minimum of two nights stay. For their health and safety, we ask that you accompany your children in the gardens.

The Trust provides tea, coffee, herb/fruit tea & milk sachets and both houses are vegetarian. Kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering.

Towels and bed linen are provided. The linen will not normally be changed during stays of less than 7 days. The housekeepers clean the bathrooms, hallways, living room, dining room, kitchen floor and stairs daily, usually between 10.00am – 12.30pm. We ask that you keep the kitchens tidy, and cleaned after use.
