The Yoga Journey

A Three Day Residential Yoga Retreat with Jenny Beeken in the beautiful and healing surroundings of the Chalice Well.

5.00 pm Friday April 26th 2019 - 2.30 pm Monday April 29th 2019

Cost: £360, IYT members £340

The retreat will focus on the yoga journey from Asana-posture and relaxation to sitting-pranayama, mindfulness to meditation.

The weekend will include an early morning walking meditation and sun salutation on Glastonbury Tor and yoga practice outside in Chalice Well gardens which are particularly beautiful in the springtime.

Jenny is a unique yoga teacher. She originally studied with BKS Iyengar whose teaching is still a great source of inspiration, knowledge and understanding to her.

Subsequent study with Victor van Kooten and Angela Farmer has given her a deep understanding of the inner body, inner awareness and movement.

More recently she has worked with Sophy Hoare and Diane Long to access the teaching of Vanda Scaravelli.

This has further developed her understanding of the importance of awakening the spine in yoga postures and in life. The emphasis in her teaching is on balance of the inner energies and healing oneself and others through yoga.

The price for the weekend includes all of Jenny’s expert teaching, accommodation in lovely twin rooms and excellent catered vegetarian meals on Saturday and Sunday evenings and vegetarian lunches on Sunday and Monday before the retreat closes. There are a limited number of single rooms available at a supplement of £70.00 for the three nights – please check with Gay Kent before booking. Please bring food to share on Friday evening. Lunch on Saturday is self-catered (there’s usually plenty of food left over from Friday evening) either at Chalice Well or there are plenty of cafes in Glastonbury. Saturday and Sunday afternoons will be free for exploring Glastonbury, resting in the gardens, browsing in the Chalice Well bookshop or visiting the red and white spring.

All bookings are through the Inner Yoga Trust (IYT):

You can secure a place on the course by paying a non-refundable deposit of £100 online on the IYT website.

The outstanding balance will be due on March 15th 2019 and this is payable by cheque or Bankers Draft to Jenny Beeken. Cheques can be sent to:
