Private Access for Groups & Events at Chalice Well

It is possible to have access to the Chalice Well & Gardens, outside of public opening hours in order to celebrate meaningful events.

Private Access can be used for celebrations and rites of passage such as:

  • Baby Namings
  • Hand fastings or Weddings (although we do not currently hold a civil licence)
  • Memorial Ceremonies

You can also request Private Access for:

  • Group Meditations / Ceremonies
  • Group Healing and Invocations
  • Initiation Ceremonies

Most ceremonies are permitted provided they are in keeping with the Spirit of the Well. However, it is with regret that Chalice Well is no longer able to offer the gardens for the scattering of ashes.

On application for Private Access we will generally ask you a number of questions about what you are planning for your event and where it will be located in the gardens.

All guests partaking in a private access event need to be respectful of the Chalice Well as a sacred site and will need to follow certain protocols of the Chalice Well.

Times for Private Access are (subject to staffing and availability):

Morning 8.00-10.00 am

Evening - April-October - 6.15-8.00 pm

                February-March - 4:45-6:45 pm

Fees are payable on a per person basis. Adults are £12.00, children (aged 5 - 17 years) are £6.00. There is a minimum charge for the event of £72 which is payable as a deposit to confirm your booking. Any remaining fees are to be paid one month before the event.

If you would like to hold a special event in the gardens or would like further information about Private Access, please contact us on 01458 831154 or you can enquire through our online enquiry form.

Generally we have a maximum number of 50 people for special events but please ring us to discuss further if you have more people than this. We encourage people to book as early as possible as Private Access is very popular, particularly over the summer months.
