Special Access for Groups & Events at Chalice Well
It is possible to have access to the Chalice Well & Gardens, outside of public opening hours in order to celebrate meaningful events.

Special Access can be used for celebrations and rites of passage such as:
- Baby Namings
- Hand fastings or Weddings (although we do not currently hold a civil licence)
- Memorial Ceremonies
You can also request Special Access for:
- Group Meditations / Ceremonies
- Group Healing and Invocations
- Initiation Ceremonies
Most ceremonies are permitted provided they are in keeping with the Spirit of the Well. On application for Special Access we will generally ask you a number of questions about what you are planning for your event and where it will be located in the gardens. All guests partaking in special access need to be respectful of the Chalice Well as a sacred site and will need to follow certain protocols of the Chalice Well.
Times for Special Access are from 8.00am-10.00am in the morning, and in the evening, from 6.15pm-8.00pm (April-October) or 4.45pm-6.30pm (November to March). It is subject to staffing and date availability.
Fees are payable on a per person basis. Adults are £7.00, Children (aged 5 - 17 years) are £4.00. There is a minimum charge for the event of £55 which is also payable as a deposit to confirm your booking. Any remaining fees are to be paid one month before the event.
If you would like to hold a special event in the gardens or would like further information about Special Access please contact Muriel in the Chalice Well Office on Wednesdays, or you can enquire through our online enquiry form.
Please note we generally have a maximum number of 50 people for special events but please ring us to discuss further if you have more people than this. We encourage people to book as early as possible as Special Access is very popular particularly over the summer months.
